This is a blend of Grenache and Syrah from purchased fruit that has wonderful texture, layers of fruit, and character. While it has plenty of weight, the true success of this wine is all the flavor that bubbles just under the surface.
The Fay d'Homme is a pure expression of the Gneiss soil. The acidity is present but not aggressive, with expression of white fruits, citrus and blossoms. The wine is immediately very well balanced and enjoyable right after bottling.
This delicious Cabernet has some SERIOUS firepower behind it. It has an elegant Macul nose that combines fresh red fruit, cassis, dried herbs, and red pepper. The palate is complete with smooth tannins and loads of red fruit.
A blend of Piquepoul and Roussanne, the 2012 Languedoc Blanc is a fresh, vibrant white. The Piquepoul Blanc brings this crunchy and vivid character and the Roussanne's citrus fruits and white flowers produce this striking wine with lovely aromatics and a full silky mouth-feel.
The 2012 is a layered with fresh cherries and red berries with touches of dried herbs and spice. The weight sits nicely on the palate and finishes with a nice wave of acidity. Bravo Billard. Bravo...
Les Amandiers is made from young vines resulting in fresh berry aromas : red currant, strawberry, black currant. A pleasant and tender wine, offering great aromatic freshness.
Charming aromatically, this Chardonnay immediately hints toward Asian pear and apple flavors with an underlying cut of lemon framed by hints of Tahitian vanilla from fine grained French oak. It offers hints of more tropical flavors without ever fully realizing them and finishes with ample verve.
"It exhibits notes of flowers, licorice, new saddle leather, black currants and cherries. Medium to full-bodied, elegant, complex and on a fast maturity curve, it should be consumed over the next 2-3 years." 91 Points, the Wine Advocate, #202 Aug 2012
Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, smoky minerals and white pepper, plus a suggestion of dried rose. Silky on entry, then firmer in the middle, with flavors of red and black fruits and floral pastille. The floral quality repeats on the lively, subtly powerful finish.
Dark plum, coffee grounds, and cassis. This base is buttressed by a few mountain sources that provide a streak of red fruit, verve, and structure.
